Knit Your First Sweater

When: Saturday Feb 4, 18, Mar 4 & Mar 18 from 10:30 – 12:30

Outline

This course will run over four Saturday’s and focus on basic sweater knitting techniques. Homework knitting will be required.

Students will learn to make a top down sweater in either DK or Worsted weight

• Class 1: Introduction to The One Sweater pattern. Cast on.
• Homework: Knit yoke
• Class 2: Split for arms, Fit check
• Homework: Knit arms
• Class 3: Body shaping techniques. Fit check
• Homework: Knit body
• Class 4: Finishing
  

Prerequisites

Students must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches.
Students should be familiar with increasing and decreasing.
