Knit Your First Sweater

Outline
This course will run over four Saturday’s and focus on basic sweater knitting techniques. Homework knitting will be required.
Students will learn to make a top down sweater in either Fingering, DK or Worsted weight
- Class 1: Introduction to Flax Sweater pattern. Cast on.
- Homework: Knit yoke
- Class 2: Split for arms, Fit check
- Homework: Knit arms
- Class 3: Body shaping techniques. Fit check
- Homework: Knit body

Prerequisites
Students must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches.
Students should be familiar with increasing and decreasing.
